Torah Rental

Thank you for your interest in renting a Torah from us, we’re grateful to be a small part of your celebration.

Rental Process:

  • Berkeley Hillel owns two Torahs
  • Torahs can be rented for a max of one week at a time. The cost is $400 for use on the day of your event, plus an additional day before and after to allow for pick-up and drop-off.  
  • Please email contact@berkeleyhillel.org to confirm availability before filling out the Torah rental form and submitting payment. With in-person events resuming, our Torahs are in high demand and we will need advance notice to organize our Torah rental schedule.
  • Payment and reservation are processed through the below online form.​​
  • When you pick up the Torah you must leave us with a $1000 deposit check that will be returned to you once you return the Torah.​​

Pick Up:

  • The Torah can be picked at Berkeley Hillel located at 2736 Bancroft Way, Berkeley from 10-4 p.m. Monday – Friday. ​
