Tammy Plotkin-Oren

Tammy Plotkin-Oren, CFP®, and ChFC® is the principal and owner of TPO Financial and Insurance Services in Berkeley, CA. As a mother of three, Tammy knows first-hand that financial needs and priorities change as families evolve.  A core focus of her practice is risk management and how to use insurance and other tools to help protect her clients from the uncertainties of life.  She is passionate about helping people reach their goals and enjoy secure financial futures.

Her prior experience includes several years as an investment banking analyst in Tel Aviv, Israel prior to returning to Berkeley for her MBA.   After finishing the MBA program, Tammy joined an Internet Photography start-up and served as Director of Product Marketing.  In 2004, Tammy decided to return to the finance world, this time with a focus on personal finance, and started her own business.

She is active in her local community and has served on various boards including UC Berkeley Hillel for the past 6 years. She lives in the East Bay with her husband Arnon.  They have one daughter in high school, one daughter at UC Berkeley (Go Bears!), and one daughter at UCLA (Go Bruins!). In her free time, she enjoys hiking, walking her dog Mika and going on adventurous trips.
