Elena is excited to join Berkeley Hillel as the Israel Fellow! Born in Bulgaria and raised in Israel, Elena grew up in the Tel Aviv area and earned her B.A. in Psychology from the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo. During her studies, she gained experience in pediatric neurorehabilitation at Sheba Medical Center, user experience, and mentoring young girls through the Israeli nonprofit Shavot.
Elena is passionate about building meaningful relationships and creating open, welcoming spaces where students can explore Israel, identity, culture, and the questions that come with them. She loves finding creative and approachable ways to bring Israeli life and culture to campus and is especially excited to get to know Berkeley students one coffee chat at a time.
Outside of work, Elena loves cooking, crafting, watching crime shows, listening to music, and finding new places to explore around the Bay Area.
