Schultz Engagement and Leadership Fellows
The Janet and Albert Schultz Fellows have been selected to participate in an educational fellowship aimed at welcoming incoming Cal students and enhancing the Hillel community. The fellowship follows a curriculum geared towards relationship building and community organizing. Fellows begin the Spring semester of the year and continue by welcoming incoming and current students throughout the year. Our goal is to support Jewish students in their connection to Jewish community at Cal. Fellows connect with their peers to engage them in programming and events based on their unique interests. Relationships are the heart of our engagement strategy.
Students who are interested in further leadership roles at Berkeley Hillel, such as the Student Board, should first participate in the Schultz Engagement and Leadership Fellowship. Schultz fellows will:
- participate in weekly meetings with a Hillel staff member
- engage in one-on-one coffee conversations with peers throughout the semester
- collaborate on supporting current programming and creating new programs based on student needs and interests
Are you wondering what our Hillel community has to offer? Have you been to Hillel and are unsure who to chat with? Click on a fellow to read more and set up a time to grab coffee. Our Schultz Fellows are excited to meet and welcome students into the Hillel community.
