Repair the World Service Corps

We are excited to launch our Repair the World Service Corps at Berkeley Hillel. In this program; you will have the opportunity to live out your Jewish values through service projects, Jewish learning and serving as a leader in our community. Applications are due Oct. 17th 2022.

This is a year-long and stipended fellowship ($200 for the Fall 2022 semester, $250 for the Spring semester) with opportunities for cohort learning and individual projects.

1. Service Corps members will meet 8 times as a cohort for learning sessions to deep dive into Jewish perspectives on social justice issues

2. Service Corps members will engage in direct service projects as a group and and in their own placement (2-3 hours/week)

3. Serve as peer-to-peer connectors in the Hillel community, with a goal to bring more Hillel community members into direct service work

What excites you about the Repair the World Fellowship?*
Participants in the Repair the World Fellowship will meet regularly as a cohort at the Berkeley Hillel building. Additionally, Fellows will receive service placements in the community. What are your plans for transportation? Do you have a car? Are you familiar with Berkeley Public Transportation? There will be one opportunity for service on-location at the Hillel building.*

As a Repair Fellow, you will be serving with a local non-profit for three hours a week. Select any or all of the following initiatives you feel passionately engaged with.*
