Berkeley and Israel Photo Contest

Calling all photographers! Enter your photos for the opportunity to be permanently featured in our new building! Berkeley Hillel is beginning a building renovation this year and we’re looking to display captivating photos of iconic Cal and Israel scenery in our new building.

What we’re looking for: Well-shot, high-resolution images of the landmarks that represent both Israel and the UC Berkeley campus, as well as Jewish life at Cal.

What we’re not looking for: Photos of people’s’ faces, pictures with Instagram filters (Yes, we know Mayfair makes your selfies look dope, but it’s totes inappropes.)

Deadline for submissions: April 11th

The winning photographs from each category will be printed on large panels and mounted along with information about the photographer (you!) around the newly renovated building.

Contest Judging:

All photos submitted will be reviewed for acceptance by Berkeley Hillel staff, then the pool will be narrowed to the top 10, which will be voted on by students.
