Shabbat at Berkeley Hillel

Shabbat Shalom! Join us for our weekly opportunity to unplug from the week and plug into sacred rest. We bring in Shabbat together every week with candle lighting at 6, followed by a musical Kabbalat Shabbat service. At 7:15, we’ll gather for Kiddush, motzi, and a delicious home-cooked Shabbat dinner. 

Friendly: Shabbat is a great place to meet Jewish friends! Bringing someone you know can lower the pressure.
Inclusive: Come as you are, on time or later. Dress up or dress down. Our Kabbalat Shabbat service is both traditional and accessible.
Joyful and Fun: Shabbat is a time to unplug, relax, and TGIF. We’re here every week and you’re always invited.
