Application for AIPAC Policy Conference 2019

The AIPAC Policy Conference will take place from March 24-26th in Washington, DC. Find out more about the conference here.

As in previous years, there will be a cohort of Cal students going to experience the conference together. Berkeley Hillel will be providing generous scholarships for a select group of students to attend the conference. Please note that the scholarship will not cover the entire experience, but will significantly defray the costs. If you are interested, please fill out the form below by Friday, February 1st.

We are asking scholarship recipients to give back to the community in exchange for the financial resources to attend the conference. This year, we are giving recipients two options:

  1. Participate in the Backstage Israel Fellowship. Backstage Israel is an opportunity to take part in deep, meaningful discussions about many facets of Israel – culture, society, art, politics, land and more in an intimate and productive setting. The learning will be an exciting way to supplement the immersive time at the AIPAC conference. Students will commit to 11 meetings during the spring semester and 5 coffee meetings with other students. The AIPAC scholarship will be in place of the fellowship stipend. For more information about this option, contact Dani at dneubauer@berkeleyhillel.org .
  2.  Volunteer at Berkeley Hillel. Many of Berkeley Hillel events are volunteer-run! This is a great way to give back, get to know Hillel, and meet other students. Students will commit to 8-10 hours of volunteering that may include helping to cook or set-up for BBQ/Shabbat, help to set up the building for Passover seders, help assemble bags for Shabbat Across Berkeley, etc.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Dani Neubauer, Israel Fellow, at dneubauer@berkeleyhillel.org .
