Upcoming Service Days with Berkeley Hillel

Intergenerational Passover Lunch @ JCC East Bay (4/11)

The Jewish Community Center of the East Bay (414 Walnut St, Berkeley, CA 94709) is hosting a cohort of Holocaust survivors from Contra Costa and Alameda counties for a Kosher-for-Passover catered lunch on April 11th for schmoozing and intergenerational connecting! Passover is a time of reflection across generations so Berkeley Hillel is excited to partner and help support this event through volunteer shifts. Volunteering will run from 10-1 and tasks will include setting up tables/chairs in the courtyard and making the space pretty, helping to set up and serve food, and cleaning up. We would love to have you join for all or even just part of the volunteer shift, so please indicate what part of the lunch you can join for on the form.

On Friday, April 21st, we are going to gather at GLIDE to bake fresh challah for GLIDE's staff and clients. Additionally, we will have prep and serve hot lunch for their thousands of unhoused clients. This is a fun, delicious and meaningful way to start the weekend !
