Title: 1st Year
Vida is a freshman at UC Berkeley who is passionate about a variety of social justice issues. In high school, she participated in a peer-to-peer sexual violence prevention educator group allowing her to present inner city high school students with information about consent, rape culture, and sexual assault. Moreover, she volunteered with an organization in Tijuana, Mexico, helping prepare migrants at the U.S. border for their Credible Fear Interviews. She is also interested in working to combat food insecurity. Joining the Hillel Social Justice Fellowship will allow her to get involved with organizations working towards mending and eliminating these social justice issues, collaborate and learn with the Jewish community at Berkeley, and do mitzvahs.
