Leigh Levinson

Title: Vice President

Hello! My name is Leigh and I’m a second year Psychology major intending to minor in data science.
One of my favorite Hillel memories is from the freshman retreat sitting by a campfire with some good company and good music. The retreat was where I bonded with many students who I am proud to call my friends!
My favorite Jewish food is Challah. I love challah so much and I could probably eat an entire loaf on my own. I even enjoy the process of making the dough, kneading, and braiding it.
I originally became involved with the student board to bring more attention to Israel from a cultural perspective. This initial interest is now accompanied for my love of building a strong community. I think Hillel is a great, supportive space for all students on campus, Jewish or not, and I want to help with the work that happens behind the scenes and ensures the success of the organization and the enjoyment of the students.
Besides Hillel, I am very involved with Camp Kesem, a club on campus that fundraises for, supports, and engaged with children whose parents have or had cancer. I am also involved with Undergraduate Lab at Berkeley (ULAB) which allows undergraduates to work together on their own research projects and develop professionally in the research world.
